Roof Replacement in Stoneham, MA

David and Martha in Stoneham, MA, were dealing with several roofing concerns that made it clear their home was ready for an upgrade. The existing asphalt shingle roof was approximately 18 years old, and over time, they had begun noticing a few leaks throughout the home. They were also concerned that the attic ventilation was not functioning properly, which can contribute to excess heat and moisture buildup and shorten the lifespan of a roofing system.

After evaluating both repair and replacement options, they chose to move forward with a full roof replacement on the main home. Rather than continuing to address isolated issues as they appeared, the new roofing system would provide a long-term solution while correcting underlying concerns that had developed over the years.

As part of the project, our team installed Smart Eave ventilation along the second-floor section of the home to help improve airflow into the attic. Proper ventilation plays an important role in regulating attic temperatures, reducing moisture accumulation, and helping the roof perform more effectively throughout the seasons. We also replaced the chimney flashing to ensure a watertight connection around one of the roof's most vulnerable areas.

To complete the transformation, David and Martha selected IKO Dynasty shingles in Summit Gray. The updated color gave the home a clean, refreshed appearance while providing durable protection against New England weather.

With the leaks addressed, ventilation improved, and a brand-new roofing system in place, the home is now better equipped to handle the years ahead while maintaining its appearance and performance.

Gutter Replacement in Little Compton, RI

Stu in Little Compton, RI, recently moved into a new home and needed a custom aluminum seamless gutter system designed and installed to properly manage roof runoff while keeping the exterior clean and visually consistent.

For the front of the home, the goal was to avoid having a downspout run down the face of the right column. Instead, the system was designed to redirect water discreetly around the structure and bring it down toward the rear of the home whenever possible, helping maintain the clean front elevation.

Along the back side of the house, the installation required more custom work, including precise gutter section connections and tailored cuts to properly tie multiple runs together. There were also two downspout locations near the corners that needed to be routed directly through the deck area. This required careful planning and cutting through the decking to ensure proper drainage without compromising the structure or finish.

The final system was built as a seamless aluminum gutter installation with carefully placed downspouts and custom routing to match the home’s layout. The end result is a clean, functional drainage system designed to protect the home while blending naturally into its exterior design. The Klaus Roofing Way!
