Kyle’s home in Portland, CT is stunning, but after 25 years, the roof had seen better days. When leaks started showing up, he knew it was time for a full roof replacement. Our on-site Project Managers inspected the entire roof and got started on the replacement right away. We installed IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black, which are built to handle up to 130mph winds. Underneath, we used SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in vulnerable areas, SealoronXT Deck Tape between each plywood seam to keep water out, and VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the rest of the roof deck. This was another 'Roof Your Neighborhood' project in the town of Glastonbury, CT. When homeowners in the same community invest in their roof at the same time, we can offer a sizable discount on materials, as we are able to buy them in bulk. The first part of the process entailed removing and recycling one layer of old shingles. This was followed by inspecting and replacing all deteriorated plywood, so that we could safely install an underlayment membrane for added moisture protection. The finished shingles here are Slatestone Gray.  

Dean in Amston, CT reached out to us after noticing some clear signs that his roof had reached the end of its life. His asphalt shingle roof was over 20 years old and had previously sustained hail damage back in 2009. Lately, Dean had started seeing light coming through areas around the ridge vent and noticed a significant amount of granule loss from the shingles, both common indicators that a roof needs replacement.
