Is there ever a time when it's acceptable for your basement to get wet? If your answer is, "No," then take a few notes from these Fairview Heights homeowners.
This newly-purchased home in Fairview Heights was experiencing an ungodly amount of water seepage through the block foundation, and the basement was always damp. Drywall and wooden cabinetry had been ruined with mold, and the homeowners wanted to keep their basement dry all the time.
Woods Basement Systems installed the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to drain water from the basement walls, from under the floor, and at the wall/floor joint. The crew also installed BrightWall, an inorganic wall covering to drain wall seepage into the drainage system. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump system with battery backup ensures that pump failure, large rains, and power outages are no match for this dry basement.
Homeowners in Fairview Heights, IL had a leaky basement wall and selected BrightWall to be installed as a solution. BrightWall works to direct seeping water into the drainage system and improves the overall visual appeal of the basement.
Before Woods Basement Systems was called out to Deborah Q's Fairview Heights, IL home she had a wet and moldy basement that she couldn't seem to keep dry. Woods' team members were able to install our WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement floor to direct any water that tried to enter through the seams of the floor into our Twin Pack sump pump. Now with the WaterGuard and Twin Pack sump pump and after washing the floor, Deborah has a clean, dry basement space.
Jeffrey A. of Fairview Heights, Illinois noticed that his home's basement was collecting water even though he had a working sump pump. He did not want to ignore the problem and have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain shower, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Steve K. assessed the situation and came up with the perfect solution. Foreman Jose L. then traveled to the home to install a Waterguard drainage system and a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement. After the installation was complete, the Waterguard was covered with concrete. The Waterguard drainage system collects any water rising from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. It then drains the water to the sump pump.
