This Bunker Hill, Illinois homeowner was tired of dealing with water in her basement. It would regularly stream down the walls during periods of heavy rainfall and pool on the floor, requiring constant cleanup. In order to solve this problem, a Woods Basement Systems team installed under-floor WaterGuard drains at the base of the leaking walls to catch any water and prevent it from making it onto the floor.

Water was coming down the walls in a basement in Bunker Hill, IL, and the sump pump was not pumping this water out correctly. To solve these issues, the BrightWall Paneling System was first installed. This bright, clean, and durable wall system will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and will drain any wall leaks to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system, which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. Next, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed. The patented design of this system automatically allows water to escape through its perforations when pipe terminations are blocked, usually by ice or snow. Lastly, a LawnScape Outlet was installed. This connects the discharge lines to a special extension, sending water away from the foundation while camouflaging the end of the pipe. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry and clean for years to come!

WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement and it collects water that seeps through basement walls and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home.
