Ralph M. of Warrenton, Missouri noticed that a couple of the walls in his home were cracking and bowing. He did not want the issue to get worse or cause safety concerns, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Matthew S. assessed the situation and decided that wall anchors would fix the homeowner's problem. Foreman Jeremy R. then headed to the home to get the job started. Wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside basement walls to the hard packed soil outside. They are made of steel help stabilize and prevent further movement of the basement walls.
Ralph M. now has stable and safe basement walls. He no longer has to worry about his home's walls cracking or bowing.
Rob D was concerned about his basement foundation. Cracks were starting to show, and some parts of it were leaking water. To solve this issue, Woods first installed the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch the water that comes down the walls and drain it toward the sump system. Next, a CleanSpace Wall System was applied on the walls to stop water vapor from permeating them, and to drain the wall leaks down to WaterGuard. Lastly, the PowerBrace System was installed to permanently support the foundation walls. This will straighten the walls back to their original position, and close up the cracks. Rob can now have peace of mind knowing his basement will stay dry and stable!
Support posts were leaning in a basement in Warrenton, MO, causing the floor beams to shift. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the basement and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This basement will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
This homeowner's foundation was settling, affecting the windowsill to the point of visible bowing. They opted for the Push Pier System, which is drilled into the ground, past the unstable soil and into load bearing soil, to permanently stabilize and even raise the foundation. Now the windowsills won't be at risk of further settling, and neither will the home.
A foundation was cracking in Marthasville, MO, causing cracks to form. To solve this issue, GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!
