In Homestead, IA, a homeowner set out to preserve their century-old home for the next generation. The goal was a full renovation, but high radon levels in the basement stalled progress. Robert had some concerns about the radon levels in his home and decided it was a good idea to install a radon mitigation system. Radon is a radioactive, colorless, odorless and tasteless noble gas that occurs naturally as radium decays. Radon can be present in and outside of your home. Exposure to radon most commonly comes from being indoors.

In the before photo, notice the struggled of a Washington, IA home with high levels of radon seeping in through the crawl space. The issue compromised indoor air quality and posed a potential health risk. We tackled the problem head-on by installing a thorough mitigation system complemented by CleanSpace encapsulation. By incorporating the CleanSpace system with drainage matting and the mitigation system, we've transformed this formerly troubling space into a secure and dry foundation, seamlessly eliminating any radon concerns and enhancing the homes overall environment. 

Don & Deborah had their home built in 1999 and plan to stay there for years to come. Recently they tested their home and it came back positive for radon. The couple is very concerned about air quality and their health, they wanted this fixed as soon as possible.
