When a homeowner in Maquoketa, IA noticed water pooling in her carport, she knew something had to be done. Over time, the concrete had begun to settle, creating an uneven surface which became a tripping hazard. Over the years, Robert’s driveway had settled and sunk in some area, causing large tripping hazards. He contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have PolyLevel injected. PolyLevel is a lightweight material that has a lifting force of 2,000-4,000 pounds per square foot. The crew then applied NexusPro® joint sealant across all joints and cracks to lock out surface water, protecting the concrete against harsh UV rays and intense Midwest freeze-thaw cycles. As shown in the after photo, the concrete is now perfectly even, securely sealed, and aesthetically enhanced, demonstrating the true value of expert intervention.
