Homeowners from York, ME contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their damp crawlspace. They were interested in installing a vapor barrier. System Design Specialist Ron B. helped the homeowners come up with the best plan to prevent any future moisture issues.
We installed CleanSpace with drainage matting, as well as SprayFoam insulation. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. SprayFoam keeps cold air out during the winter, makes the space more comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill.
Our Wells, ME homeowner had a damp dirt floor crawlspace that they were tired of dealing with. They contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to encapsulate the space. System Design Specialist Rick R. met with the homeowner to create a plan that would meet their needs.
To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. A SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. Not only is the homeowner able to enjoy their home with better air quality and without having to worry about water in their crawl space. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
Kennebunk, ME homeowners reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems when they realized some of the brick supports in their crawl space were crumbling. The home was built in the 1850's and needed help stabilizing the area. We protected the crawl space from water by encapsulating it with CleanSpace and drainage matting. We also installed a SmartSump pump to remove any moisture out of the crawl space. SmartJacks were added to stabilize the crawlspace in the event that the original brick support columns continued to fail. The home is now safe and secure, and dry to boot!
With up to 6 inches of water in their crawl space during heavy rains and no intentions to ever move, this Kennebunk homeowner refused to let their crawl space rain on their heads anymore. After calling TC Hafford Basement Systems, System Design Specialist Ron Bedard drove out to the home to meet with the owner. Looking to avoid mold and any home damage, Ron and the homeowner worked together to design a system that would take care of the needs of the home while meeting the homeowners’ expectations.
CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was laid down and attached to the walls to act as a barrier, keeping outside elements outside where it won’t be a problem. Two Interior Discharge Lines are connected to two SuperSumps that will push any ground water outside through an exterior discharge line where it won’t be a problem. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona was installed in the crawl space to maintain safe humidity levels. The homeowner now can rest with peace of mind that they won’t have to worry about it raining in their crawl space anymore.
With water coming in and a bad sump pump, this crawl space needed some help, and TC Hafford Basement Systems was happy to provide it. System Design Specialist Ron Bedard went out to the Kennebunk home to design a system to fully encapsulate the space. The old sump pump was removed and replaced with a TripleCrawl Sump Pump System, and Drainage Matting was laid down. CleanSpace was installed, and the TripleCrawl was connected to an Exterior Discharge Line to direct water away from the house. Water is no longer a concern, and outside elements are no longer able to cause issues in the crawl space.
