This crawl space in South Thomaston, ME, was encapsulated using CleanSpace with Drainage Matting to keep out the elements.

CleanSpace™ is a heavy 20 mil-thick-liner, similar to a pool liner. It is manufactured in 7 layers, a blend of high density polyethylene for puncture resistance, low density polyethylene for flexibility, and polyester cord reinforcement for brute tear resistance. The white finish really brightens your crawl space is free of mold, insects and dirt. The CleanSpace™ is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called "UltraFresh", molded right into the material.

Rockland, ME homeowners met with System Design Specialist Kathryn D. for help with their crawlspace. They had mold beginning to grow, and the crawlspace is directly under their master bedroom. We cleaned out all of the debris and old insulation to prep the space for a fresh start. CleanSpace with drainage matting was installed in the entire space, encapsulating the area and providing a seal from moisture. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that also prevents mold growth. We also installed a SmartSump pump system with an exterior buried discharge line to remove water away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air purifier was also added to filter dust and mold spores, and control the moisture in the air. Our homeowners can sleep easier now knowing their home is healthier!

Homeowners in Camden, ME reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for support with their moisture ridden crawl space that was causing concern for the stability of the home. To encapsulate the area, we first installed CleanSpace with drainage matting. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that seals out moisture, and prevents mold growth. We also installed StarPipe perimeter drainage system that connects to a SmartSump pump system to remove any water away from the home. When our installation crew arrived at the home their first objective was to replace the old failing supports with new SmartJack pylons. These adjustable supports will enable our team to relevel the floor above the crawlspace. Next, a Drainage Matting & CleanSpace liner were utilized to encapsulate the crawlspace with a proper vapor barrier. The Drainage Matting rests below the CleanSpace, creating channels for blocked water to travel toward where it can most easily drain back into the earth. The CleanSpace covers the flood and walls of the Crawlspace with a thin layer to lock out any leaking moisture that would otherwise accumulate within the space.

With a complete vapor barrier as well as new supports in their crawlspace, this homeowner will no longer be troubled by moisture problems below their home. This barrier will maintain a dry crawlspace interior for many years into the future!

System Design Specialist Mark S. met with a Hampden, ME homeowner to give a free estimate on repairing their leaking basement. Their slab was cracking and water was seeping in, causing headaches for the homeowner. We poured a new slab, along with slab WaterGuard to help channel any water or moisture to the new TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup in the winter with IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed to act as a vapor barrier where needed and channel any additional moisture from the walls to the WaterGuard. CleanSpace walls are durable, easy to clean, and never discolor, giving this basement a bright, fresh look!
