After a tree fell and damaged the roof over their kitchen, these homeowners in Storrs, CT were in need of assistance. Since most of the roof was asphalt shingles and they didn’t know how old it was, they reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing for a full roof inspection and replacement quote. Our team did a full roof replacement, replacing any damaged plywood and installing a Klaus Roofing System on both the house and attached garage. We started with SealoronXT Deck Tape on each plywood seam to seal out moisture, followed by SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in the most vulnerable areas. The rest of the roof was protected with VeloraONE Roof Underlayment. Here was a gorgeous Colonial home in Salem, CT. We installed our Roofing System, complete with new chimney flashing and aluminum gutters with guards and vent pipe boots. The fascia overhang was also revamped with PVC trim boards, which are fully recyclable and optimum for environmental health & sustainability when compared to wood and stucco. Finally, we installed a thermostat-controlled solar fan, so that the homeowner can keep a close eye on their attic temperature and how effectively it is being ventilated.
