This homeowner living in Princeton, ME was in dire need of a waterproofing system below their home. The leakage had gotten so bad, the homeowner couldn’t even walk on their basement floor without covering their feet with water. After seeing us on their TV and contacting our Wells office, we were able to set this homeowner up with a free estimate. When our installation crew got to work on the basement, they began by excavating the old concrete slab to replace it with new one. The new slab came equipped with WaterGuard piping laid around the exterior edge, but beneath the surface. These pipes will collect any moisture entering through the foundation from now-on and guide the collected water to the TripleSafe sump pump installed nearby. The TripleSafe will now force any water out of the out of the home through a PVC discharge line. Lastly, a CleanSpace wall system was put in surrounding the basement interior. This will brighten up the space as well as providing a barrier against any moisture that might enter through the walls of the basement.

With proper waterproofing below their home, this homeowner can not make use of their basement again. The WaterGuard piping will keep this floor water-free for years down the road!

A Vanceboro, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems because they had water seeping into their basement. Our System Design Specialist Craig Z. met with the owner to give them a free estimate on repairs.

Around the perimeter walls of the basement, WaterGuard was installed to channel the water to a TripleSafe Sump Pump with an UltraSump Battery Back-Up. The inclusion of the UltraSump Battery Back-Up is important to keep water out of the basement even during power outages, which tend to be very common in Maine during storms. Once the water gets to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, it has to go somewhere. A discharge line is connected and fitted with IceGuards to prevent freezing and then the line is buried. Water is taken away from the home where it is no longer a problem. To keep the discharge line from being clogged, a LawnScape Outlet is fitted to the end of the pipe to prevent anything from entering the discharge line. To take care of any humidity in the basement, a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier is set up with an additional line attached to the TripleSafe Sump Pump so the homeowner doesn't have to go into the basement to empty buckets of water. 

A Pembroke, ME homeowner contacted us for help with the stacked stone basement in their older home. The walls and floor had damage from cracking and crumbling, and water was coming into the basement. We poured a brand new slab floor, along with WaterGuard to channel moisture to the brand new TripleSafe sump pump system. This began with a WaterGuard piping system being buried beneath the surface of the concrete floor, around the perimeter of the basement. This will form a barrier to capture moisture leaking in through the foundation. Next, a TripleSafe sump system was installed in the basement floor with the WaterGuard feeding directly into it. Now any water captured by the barrier of piping will be guided straight to the TripleSafe for removal from the basement without any moisture gathering on the floors surface. Finally, a CleanSpace wall system was put in place, lining the walls with a waterproof seal to intercept any wall leakage and guide it down into the WaterGuard.
