This PA home had a French drain and sump pump currently in their basement, but with a heavy rain, water would intrude through the walls and the drain system and the pump would just hold the water instead of getting rid of it. We replaced their current drain system with our Waterguard and then upgraded their sump to our TripleSafe Sump Pump.  

In this cobblestone basement, the homeowner noticed the ceiling starting to dip, which caused the upstairs flooring to creak when walking across. In order for us to stabilize and premaritally lift the sagging floor, we installed our SmartJack supplemental galvanized beams with a solid concrete footing. These heavy-duty steel columns are secured to the joist and they can adjust to your custom fit. Our product is designed to stop the area from settling and can lift the sagging floor to its corrected level.

Here we used existing piers and temporary jacks to lift the floor off the old cracked and rotting beam so we could replace it with new, pressure-treated lumber. Once we replaced the beam, we advised this customer to have a sump system and dehumidifier installed in order to keep the high moisture levels in check.
