This job required that we remove the bottom of the moldy drywall so that a waterproofing system could be installed. We also installed a TripleSafe sump system that can pump over 6,000 gallons of water and has a battery backup pumping system. We never use drywall to restore the wall because it is too vulnerable to mold and water damage. We only use inorganic TBF EverLast wall, which comes with a 50-year guarantee against water or mold damage.
Customer reached out to us because they wanted to waterproof the basement and then refinish (their basement was recently flooded and damaged due to a sump pump failure).
For the waterproofing portion of the project, we installed a Cleanspace Vapor Barrier on the bottom portion of the wall, Waterguard along the basement perimeter and a SuperSump Pump.
For the finishing, we used our Everlast Wall restoration on the bottom portion of the walls, which is immune to mold and moisture damage, Everlast Wall Panels and Thermal Dry flooring. We also removed and installed a new half bath.
This homeowner had some cracks appearing on the drywall and was looking into getting their dirt crawl space encapsulated. We encapsulated the space by installing our CleanSpace that is lined with a drainage matting. Along the perimeter, we installed our SilverGlo panels that keep the basement insulated creating a vapor barrier from any moisture.
On this project, we had to perform Urethane injections to 45ft tall foundation wall cracks. On the one foundation wall, we had to inject Epoxy into 30 cracks in order to strengthen the foundation's integrity by using the water-resistant epoxy. Once the cracks were filled, we removed the excess epoxy in order for the owner to touch up or stain the discoloration from the dry injections. Lastly, we reinstalled the foam boards we removed and taped seams flush against the walls.
A homeowner in Aberdeen, MD was dealing with ongoing water seepage in their basement, which soon led to visible signs of foundation settlement, including wall cracks and damp spots. Concerned about the potential for worsening damage, they contacted Quality 1st for a professional assessment.
Next, our System Design Specialist conducted a detailed inspection and developed a customized waterproofing and stabilization plan tailored specifically to the conditions of the home. To address the water intrusion and structural issues, our team installed a dynamic system that included our WaterGuard Drainage System to capture and redirect water, our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump for efficient removal, and our IceGuard Discharge Line to ensure year-round operation. Additionally, our WellDuct System was added to prevent window well leaks, while our CarbonArmor Reinforcement System stabilized the foundation walls.
These integrated solutions worked together to stop moisture intrusion and restore the basement’s structural integrity, giving the homeowner lasting protection and peace of mind.
